Re: Ignition plus (continuous current) on the Megane

If it works it would be really useful. We were stranded in our Megane for over 9 hours and had to keep turning the ignition back on to keep the heater working.

Re: Regen braking

The previous regen effect was strong and I loved it. in traffic the throttle was all you needed. Now with full regen if I lift off the throttle it will keep rolling forward towards the car in front. I now have to brake to stop. Driving with low regen is like driving a std auto car. So lack of engine...

Re: Regen braking

Easy software fix it maybe but Renaults attitude seems to be they have your money and don't really care. We aren't happy that the latest Renault imposed software update (done at the last service) has dramatically reduced the regen effect. They aren't interested that they have effected the car so bad...

Re: EV Charging Apps

I have a selection of EV charging apps. I've often found the rapid chargers fail to authenticate my debit or credit cards but I can start and pay for a charge using the app.

Re: Horn

No pics I'm afraid. I removed the connector assembly off the original horn. Cut it back so I could solder wires to the back of the socket. Wires then go to spade connectors to the new horn. This allowed me to leave the original Renault horn connector as it was. (but it did mean the original horn is ...

I feel like taking part and answering every question "I don't want an SUV" 😉
I've signed up but don't need or want an SUV. I have a salon and love it.

Re: Sudden scraping noise from front wheels

If you drive with the regen turned up high you won't be using the brakes much and you can get the discs collecting surface rust. That clears off after a few deliberate braking sessions.

Re: flat battery

Had my E-Tech for over a year now and 15K miles. Mainly charge at home on a 7.4KW AC charger but regularly use fast and rapid DC charges with no issue.

Re: V2L

Clearly Renault don't currently support V2G or V2L and I suspect the hardware isn't even present.
I imagine Renault will look at this for the future but for now its just not an option.

Re: Regen performance change

So the last software update done during the service has lessened the Regen effect to improve battery life. Odd as 15K miles on our car using full regen has reduced our battery by 2.5% so now at 97.5% Really P1ssed that my Dealer Motorvogue Kings Lynn didn't tell us and let us book the car in for tes...
