Re: False alarm triggering.

I had my first false alarm going off at 1.20am this morning. Stopped it but it went off again before I got back to bed, so I did the four times press on the power button and locked it again. Car is a year old tomorrow.

Re: Trip computer on my Megane E-tech is hyperactive!

Yes I wondered if it was km but didn't do the sums to check.

I'd love to see those consumption figures. It's just hilly and colder here in Scotland I guess.

Re: Trip computer on my Megane E-tech is hyperactive!

Yes I've seen this. Did a 140 mile round trip recently and it said I'd driven over 200 miles, but I did notice the consumption figure was about right. I don't use it normally though.

No idea how you get 4.9mpkWh though. 3.8 is a good number for me, and that's only since I started driving in Eco mode.

Re: Update 3.1.0 available now

Still some way to go to beat my previous car (a Volvo XC60) which was SIX software versions and several prominently advertised and genuinely useful features behind (like moving functions buried in the touchscreen to physical buttons) with no sign of an update. I even took it to the dealer and they s...

Re: Hello from Durham, UK.

Hello from Edinburgh! I've had mine almost a year (it was the first car out of the dealer on 1st September so I had to pose for a cheesy photo for their social media!) and I still really love it. Was down to this or the Cupra for me too on paper and driving both made it an easy choice. Nothing reall...

Re: Octopus Intelligent Go now available for the Megane

Gave up on Octopus a couple of months ago. They made a complete arse of my solar export setup, incorrectly charged me £400 then ignored all my attempts to get them to correct it until I left a bad review on Trust pilot. It was then fixed the same day. Don't believe the marketing hype.

Re: Battery Range

Most of the earlier discussions on range were in the winter when I was seeing 170-180 too. Much better in the summer, and this is with more motorway speed driving too. This is my first EV but compared to the woeful electric efficiency of my previous PHEV, this seems good for a 60kWh battery. Winter ...

Re: Regen braking

Hmm, plenty other cars have it. I had a hybrid Volvo which could do it, and the system used regen and the mechanical brakes together.
