Re: New Poster

Welcome! Generally the recommendation is go and try a public charger when it's not urgent, just to get the hang of it. Mostly they're easy to use with contactless or an Electroverse card. ZapMap is good for locating chargers but not brilliant at planning routes. Some people recommend ABRP but I find...

Re: 2 years in, will I replace or change to different car?

I see the new trims are showing up on LeaseLoco even before they're on the Renault site. Silly prices mind, but that will presumably change in time. https://www.leaseloco.com/car-leasing/renault/megane-e-tech/ev60-160kw-techno-comfort-range-60kwh-5dr-auto/49258/2-36-8000-9-0/0d8539acdbd892c3302bca77...

Re: What's your best efficiency for a journey in April so far?

Drove to my Dad's in Aberdeenshire this evening. 3.5mpkWh using cruise control at 70 from Edinburgh to Stonehaven then the AWPR is so hilly (and picked up my brother from Aberdeen airport so three people and a dog for the last 25 miles) it dropped to 3.2 by the end. A bit disappointing, but at 165 m...

Re: What's your best efficiency for a journey in April so far?

It's more that regen will rob you of speed if you don't pay close attention, and it takes more energy to recover that speed again. Use high regen in stop start town driving and coast on the motorway. One related tip is remember to turn regen down before using cruise control or it will probably slow ...

Re: What's your best efficiency for a journey in April so far?

Not been very far yet this month. Did a 5.1 on 25 March. Oh sorry that was in the Mini Cooper E 😜

Taking the Mégane to Glasgow and back tomorrow. That's been 3.0 or 3.1 over winter so we'll see.

Re: 2 years in, will I replace or change to different car?

Renault have maybe answered my dilemma. I'm going off the Scenic and thinking again about another Mégane, and the new Esprit Alpine trim might add the extra edge of fun and style needed when buying the same car again. An all black one perhaps? I'm also a bit annoyed I have to go through all this aga...

Re: 2 years in, will I replace or change to different car?

I think in both cars the AC will turn itself off when not needed. I tend to drive my Mégane with the fan on 1 and AC off unless it mists up on a wet day. Don't get enough hot days in Scotland to need it for cooling 😆

Re: 2 years in, will I replace or change to different car?

30 mile trip in the Mini Cooper E this morning. Dry roads at 2°C and definitely not trying to be efficient, it's a fun car to drive. Averaged 4.0mpkWh. What are Renault doing wrong? To be fair, efficiency isn't everything and the range of the Mégane in cold weather has only once caused an extra char...

Re: 2 years in, will I replace or change to different car?

Yes this is disappointing. I have no use for V2G (I have solar panels and a home battery) but have used 22kW AC charging almost as much as DC.

22kW is a €1500 option in France 😬
