Has anyone fitted a dash cam to their Megan?
Probably at the top of the windscreen on the passenger side so hopefully I can tap into 12v switched power there.
I'll use a dedicated 12v to usb mini din lead.

I've installed a Nextbase 222 with their hardwire-kit. Quite easy to run the cable under the roof and window-trim. When connected to the fuse that's dedicated to the lighter, it works perfectly. Connected the ground wire to a bolt just below the fusebox.

What type of fuse is it so I can get the right fuse tap adaptor.

Did you have to get another fuse tap cable? The Megane uses micro style fuses and the hardwire kit has a mini fuse tap cable that I can't get to fit into the fuse holder

From my own research, I think you’ll need a Micro2 fuse tap cable.

Yes you are correct, although the Nextbase instructions say the mini will fit the micro in general it won't on the Megane due to the fusebox moulding.

Anyone got a picture of the earthing point used? Got to be one somewhere underneath the fuse box.

I earthed mine under a bolt under the side panel I removed to run the cable down the A pillar into the fuse box area.

Do you have a picture by any chance? Or the side panel I need to remove?

No picture but it was round the side to the right (that faces the door when shut. That panel came off and had bolts to the chassis.
