My SMC dealer fixed this problem. He said it was related to "wire routing and the frequency of a light bulb affecting the volumetric sensor". Whatever that means, the problem has now gone away. I suggest you consider returning your car to the dealer for modification.

Sounds like the power wire feeding the interia light ( that comes on with the remote press) is interfering with the internal motion detector the alarm uses.

Thanks for the heads up I've booked the car in but my earliest appointment at my local Motovogue is the 23rd of march with a courtesy car that's about two months away, absolutely shocking long time to wait if you want a courtesy car

Our Megane had this problem. Bought from an independent EV seller an attempt was made to sort this by a London Renault dealer before we picked up the car. Rerouting the sensor wiring was done then, twice more after we picked the car up in a dealer local to us.
The alarm still randomly went off soon after locking the car or on approaching with the key.
In the dealer this week again it didn’t go off so Renault wouldn’t accept ‘a technical episode’ from the dealer to give further advice.

I then asked the dealer to remove the alarm altogether- having noticed on the Renault UK website that the alarm now seems to be a chargeable optional extra!
This was done using a software change.

Mine has the same problem. Bought June 2024. Equilibre. Seems to be two problems. Alarm goes off when sensing the key. But also, after locking the car via the key fob button and putting both keys in a RF wallet, alarm goes of randomly. Dealer tried a fix which didn’t work ! When cancelling the alarm the car gives two beeps, which indicates it’s the volumetric alarm. No fix yet !!!
