Hi all,
Suffered a complete failure this weekend. I'd just come down a steep hill where I had used Regen to break from around 60mp to 30. Driving through a village about half a mile further on, the car came to a complete halt after the red "ELECTRIC MOTOR FAILURE" message flashed up. Slight smell of electrical burning in the cabin. Power to instruments etc all worked. But no traction whatsoever.
Luckily was somewhere safe and not the outside lane of the motorway. Phoned AA and prepared for them to come and put the car on a lowloader. Restarted multiple times. After about 45 mins of waiting, tried again and all seemed to be fixed. Traction back. Made it the 70 miles home.
Anyone had anything similar happen? And any suggestions what might have caused it? I'm thinking the large amounts of Regen might have done something but no idea if that is possible at all.
Phoning the dealer this morning, obvs.
