I have Google maps on the dash, and all is well there. However, when I try to get Google Maps (inbuilt, not via CarPlay) the body of the main screen goes black. Anyone have this issue, and know how to fix it?
Thanks
Google maps gone from main screen
Hello,
Seems that is happening , at least in my case, when you are connected to the mobile hotspot and the phone has lost its internet connectivity (mobile data). You can easily simulate this problem by connecting the car to the hotspot and deactivating 5G data connection of the phone.
Seems to be a general problem with the multimedia system , for all the cars.
I have already made a report to Renault Customer Care about it, among other things I have observed, they have changed me the multimedia system , but the problems are still there.
In my case it is happening like this:
Probably can be solved by a Firmware update, but I do not think that Renault really cares about it ...

Had the same issue last week, just after sharing my internet connection from my phone to the car. Even though I disabled internet sharing and even disabled the car's wifi, it still did not fix the black screen issue on map. I had to do a factory reset of the multimedia system for the map to show again.
I didn't notice my system going offline, but I got the blank Google Maps screen yesterday. Only on the Open R-Link screen, though, the dashboard sceeen continued to show the map and navigation worked without problems.
Luckily, to fix it, I didnt need to do a full factory reset, just the good old turn off - turn on maneuver. Press and hold the power button until the screen turns off, then press again to turn on. Just like any other phone/tablet.
Annoying bug. Hopefully Renault will get this sorted soon.

I had this starting to occur a month ago. I took it to a dealer who carried out a full reset "which only we can do". This fixed the fault until I got home and re-paired my phone and reconfigured the system back to my preferences. All was fine until I installed the YouTube Music app. The fault immediately reappeared. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling a few times; each time, the fault reappeared when YouTube was installed.
I've now given up on YouTube and installed Amazon Music instead.
My advice would be to check all your apps to see if uninstalling one cures this fault. I'm certain the YouTube Music app was causing mine.

Exactly the same as me! YouTube music was causing the entire system to go black. Not had it installed for a few weeks and it's been fine ever since. I just use wireless android auto to play music from my phone instead
