Could I ask, what kind of mileage are most owners getting on the original tyres fitted? Any favourite replacements for the Megane in particular that seem to be better?
I have 21k on my tyres now. They were not switched around at the 15k service by the dealership which is not very good service I believe. I swopped them myself a little later.
I think the original ones from the front (now on rear) are close to being replaced, I'd be very interested to hear any other views on this. I have seen other ev owners claiming 50k-60k on tyres which is remarkable for any tyre.

Hi Milkman,
Too early for me to say at 7000miles, but I could get 25000 miles on the fronts of one of my previous EVs so, am hoping for similar.
Except…the Megane is such a rewarding car to drive I would forgive it if doesn’t quite achieve this.
I expect I’ll be switching to Michelins when ready.

Hi Milkman.
I posted a similar question on here recently.
I’ve just renewed my front tyres and replaced them with identical Good Year items at a cost of £175 each fitted.
This was at 15000 miles which I wasn’t too chuffed at.
Now we have only owned the car since last September, it’s a MY2022 model.
It still wheel spins quite easily when pulling out at junctions and that’s in Eco mode.

Thanks for your info, looks like I'm not alone in thinking it must be hard on tyres compared to some other models. Best of luck with yours, I'm contemplating if I should change it this summer at 2 yrs for another one or a different car altogether.....maybe just get a set of tiresThermal runaway wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 8:01 am Hi Milkman,

Thanks for the update, I agree that it's very easy to spin them even in dry conditions. I don't find the original tyres very stable in wet conditions either. I thought they were probably harder as a result but don't seem to be wearing overly well. Mine is same my22. Hard to know what to do about changing tyres and the car later on.Hoseman50 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 8:58 pm Hi Milkman.

I bought a couple of used tyres off a very helpful guy on eBay, again the Good Year OEM tyres with only 2000 miles usage.
He took all 4 off his Megane E Tech and replaced them with Continental All Season Contacts, says the car behaves much more favourably with these.
He also recommended having the wheels aligned when replacing the tyres, again, improved the characteristics of the car considerably

I shall definitely consider those tyres when I need to change. Also saw new Hankook ev tyres.Hoseman50 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 12:14 pm I bought a couple of used tyres off a very helpful guy on eBay, again the Good Year OEM tyres with only 2000 miles usage.
