Been reading about the n ed for preconditioning the battery in advance of a rapid charge in cold weather.
How is this handled on the Mégane as there doesn't seem to be any user input available?
Battery preconditioning?

I haven’t put this to the test yet but my understanding is that you should input a journey into the map and from there select the charger that you are heading to. The car then automatically conditions the battery to the optimal temperature for the arrival time.
Is this correct and can anyone confirm that it works in practice?

Without knowing the details it's impossible to explain. Many possible reasons:
- Using the Type 2 Mennekes lead instead of the CCS Combo lead - yes, I've seen this too many times!
- Using a charging lead only rated to a lower current.
- Charging point load restricted due to other cars charging from the same supply.
- Being at a point in the charging curve where lower current is drawn.
- Battery not at optimal temperature (pre-conditioning should alleviate this).
- Etc.
