My Renault App - can't connect

I just bought a used Megane E-Tech in the UK. I live in Ireland and am in process of reregistering vehicle here.

I have gone through the process of setting up a My Renault account and linking to the vehicle. The vehicle shows up in the My Renault app with all the correct details.

However I cannot connect the app to the vehicle to get any of the remote functionality (charging control, climate control etc).

I tried the UK Renault help desk through whatsapp they refuse to help because they say I am not a UK customer. I tried the Irish Renault help desk in Ireland - they refuse to help because they say the car was built to a UK specification.

The UK dealer will not help because they are useless and have banked my payment.

I've got a feeling that this is probably something simple like unlinking the original owner's account with the vehicle.

Any ideas of how I might resolve this?

Hi there - I’m just wondering did you ever get this resolved and if so how? I have owned my car from the the beginning and it went for a service last week and new software was installed on it and I have lost the remote capabilities of my car which were working just fine up until this point - so I now can’t see the percentage the car is at, schedule a charge, turn on the air conditioning or see the cars location. It jut uses my phones location instead!. All of my data and accounts are live and connected but I’m getting a notification on the app to connect to the car and it won’t allow it to connect even following the instructions- the garage said it would take 72 hours for it to come back…..this was last Tuesday when I did the reset….
Hopefully you have it resolved

Same with mine since I updated the app a few days ago. Have done a reset and reregistered the car to no avail.
