Preconditioning via app
It's reached that time of year again where I want the car warmed up before I go outside. Tried to enable heating from the app this morning, and the app said Air Conditioning In Progress, but when I went outside nothing had happened. Anyone else had issues?
Yep. I’ve had the same problem. I’ve tried a number of ways to fix it including:
None of which have worked. Weirdly when I reinstalled the app, the UI was different but still saying the car was already preconditioning. This leads me to think something is wrong with the car side of things.
At first I thought it wasn’t working because the temperature was already “ok” but after a 3 degrees Celsius morning today it still didn’t work.

Glad it's not just me, the first time I used it, it worked but ever since it had been saying pre conditioning in operation.
I've done the same as boutlair and had the UI change, but still the same.
I'll try and contact Renault tech support and let you know if I've had any luck

I got this today from Renault,it didn't worked for me though, copy and paste:
"Hi,
the related connected services for preconditioning have been reset and relaunched and in order to complete what the techs have initiated it is requested that you complete the following:
• Start the vehicle and keep it running for at least 5 mins.
• Then turn off the vehicle and start it again.
-Then use the ‘check for update’ option, not in order to download an update but this will force the system to try and connect again to Renault's server.
Press the car icon at the top right of screen > vehicle > update > Check for update
[25/10/2024, 17:22:12] +44 1923 895025: Then please logout and close the app and then open it and login again and let me know if the preconditioning issue is resolved or remains as prior."

OK I've dug a bit deeper.
I installed an app called APKpure on my mobile. This allows you to download and install older versions of apps.
They have the MyRenault app versions going way back.
Current version is 6.0.6
I tried 6.0.2 and still no good.
Even tried V 5.10.4 the last of the old look versions and that still shows the Pre conditioning running all the time.
So I sumize this isn't an app issue. Its either an issue with the car or the Renault server.

It's an issue with the Renault server. I use https://github.com/hacf-fr/renault-api to control my charging to make the best use of my solar panels, and I added an Alexa skill so I can say Alexa, tell my car to start heating. This last bit hasn't worked since last winter.
