Bike rack for the Megane

Hi all, I’m at the point where my kids are getting adult sized bikes for Xmas and want me to take them on some bike treks further afield.

I need to get a bike rack of some kind for my Megane, does anyone have any advice or recommendations?

Tried the usual suspects, Halfords website reckons it doesn’t have any racks that fit the Megane, gonna have a nosey to see if Renault themselves do one that isn’t extortionately expensive 😱

Any advice welcome!

I have Thule roof bars and bike carriers which I used on previous cars. There is a fitting kit for the Mégane which I bought but I've admittedly never used as we carry bikes on the camper van mainly.

Efficiency will be terrible with bikes on the roof of course. My old XC40 used to do 28mpg dragging a pair of mountain bikes through the air.

I have the 3 bike rack which attaches on a towbar which I used on my previous Captur. I have not fitted a towbar to the Megane as I have no further need to transport bikes. The rack is virtually brand new and I would like to sell it. Further details on request.
