Still awaiting delivery here but seeing I will use it for a daily commute, any chance you could share some of those 'few tricks' you did put in place
No worries p50Kombi,
I hope you get yours very soon. After all it's not got to come far. Just a short hop over the channel!
So, basically (and there may be other ways and ideas)...
Pre-condition the cabin maybe 15minutes before you set off...you can program this in the car, or just do it manually from the App.
Drive defensively, and look way ahead up the road - slow up gently when you can, but always try not to actually STOP, just keep rolling until you can pull away again.
Turn the Regenerative braking off, or as low as it can go.
The Mégane has a power meter that shows how much power you're using as a Percentage% - use it.
Coast as much as you can on 0% power - you'll be surprised how far you can go on 0%
Don't break the speed limit (that's wasting energy, right?)...instead, use the regen paddles instead of the brake pedal to keep you from coasting over the speed limit.
The Mégane allows you to adjust the regen power on the paddles whilst also pressing the brake pedal - this sometimes comes in handy if you need to slow up quicker than you thought, and is less wasteful.
Drive in ECO mode as much as you can, but you may have to CONFIGURE Eco mode and set it to halve the air con power.
In between the seasons you may not always need the air con switched on - turn it off when you can.
Don't floor it! Pull away calmly, but strongly.
Make sure your tyres are pumped up!
I think that's it! I've been driving EVs for 10 years so I've had a lot of practice!
Best!
PS. sometimes though you've just got to put it in SPORT mode and have some excitement!
