Prices are lower but no finance details available yet. And it appears all the paint options are the same price.

But ouch! my 2023 techno+ is valued at £18400, 4k less than the final PCP payment. To be fair it's only cost me £158 a month for the past two years. I'll speak to the dealer and see if they can do anything on a part exchange for a 2026 Iconic esprit Alpine.

I notice all colours in the esprit version are included in the price including the exclusive matte. A premium in France for now.

Yes it's over €2k in France. Not a lot of choice of colours though: light grey, dark grey or black. The matte looks cool but would it be a nightmare to maintain? I'm hoping to keep the next one for much longer.

Just not sure about the all blue carpets, which I’m not overly keen on.

My thoughts entirely. It's going to cost me about 16 to 17k euro to change after 2 years. Not a happy place😀 However, I'm thinking the very same, this would be a reasonable upgrade. Most of the stuff we should have got at the start i.e. the french spec, is now included (apart from leather seats which would have been nice). I would be thinking to keep it longer. My only concern is the rapidly decreasing value and the rapidly increasing choice of potentially better cars.

Yes there are many potentially better and maybe even cheaper cars on the horizon but the Mégane is comfortable, goes far enough, has the right kit and looks pretty good, so it does everything I need. The size is perfect for me and almost everything else comparable in spec and price is an SUV with an over-reliance on touch controls.

And I like the blue carpets 😆

Finally spoke to another dealer last Friday. In Ireland at least, the importer has said the only model currently available to order is the new entry level techno. The two esprit models are not available until further notice. Apparently the specs have been standardised throughout Europe so there will be no extra options he said apart from the smaller wheels, the standard charger we have now and of course the colour. He suggested that the UK gets priority over us here for supply, probably not a problem there. Price for esprit iconic quoted 40k euro.
The only thing that seems strange here is that given it's all supposed to be the same, they are suggesting that red and blue will be included in the esprit models which doesn't add up. The UK specs online are identical to the French site. I don't think they really want any more of my money at this stage 😁
