Hi. New to here and I currently do not own the Megane but strongly considering it.

My one concern is the set up in the boot. No problem with cu ft but the issue for me is the high boot lip and lack of a flat floor. To explain I currently put our two folding eBikes into my current EV (Kia e-Niro) and that works once you get used to it.

However without a flat or reasonably flat floor it will be difficult with the Megane. So my question is has anybody found it way to overcome this? I do know about the false floor option Renault offers but gather it still is quite low relative to the lip and also the folded back seats.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Hello & Welcome to the fourm :)

It's rather quiet in here so I don't know if a timely response will be received.
Have you tried loading your bikes into the Megane boot? I'm sure a dealer wouldn't mind, (potential sale) ;)

No not yet. Iam going along to the dealer tomorrow to have another look. Will probably take one bike along and ask ‘nicely’ if they mind me trying to place it in. You have to be careful though as I have managed to get a few bumper scratches on my e-Niro when taking the bike out (have learnt to put a blanket between the boot and the bumper now 😆

Well went to the dealer and took one of my bikes. Surprise surprise it actually fitted into the boot with the front seats down with enough room for the second bike next to it. Although the boot is deep it was actually quite easy inserting and removing the bike although it will be a bit tricky with two. I know this info only has a limited audience but I would think anybody with folding e-bikes might find this useful. The dealer (Martins Basingstoke) has always been very helpful and has even said that if gets a customer for the Megane who want the false floor he will let me know what difference it makes.

What about this as an option?
