Battery drain overnight?
Temperature is very critical and if it drops too low it will affect the range so when you switch it on in the morning the range will be less.
I've not experienced this in the 3 months ownership but haven't experienced much subzero temperatures.

Thanks Sinless. I know you are right about the range, it's more the SOC I'm worried about. In other words, we know that the power that the battery holds will move the car a shorter distance. What I'm worried about is that the amount of power appears to be dropping. It's leaking electrons, in other words.
The good news is that it hasn't dropped any more this morning. So perhaps it is just the change in the ambient temperature which does this. If it was a chronic problem I'd have expected further drops. It appears to now be stable at 32%.

Yes, a few percent of traction battery loss happens to me too sometimes (not always even with same low temps)...
I don't know the reason behind this but suspect this not the battery being discharged overnight but the capacity to refill increases due cold for.a perhaps chemlcal reason etc...

I've also noticed a small amount of drain overnight, maybe 1, 2 or 3%. I've just put that down to the temperature which has been zero or below here in the South East of England for at least a week.
What I have noticed given the temperature is how much effect heating the inside of the car has on the range. The range is poorer than my Kona even if I consider how I used to heat the Kona during that tough winter last year.

I need to leave the car at an airport for 8 days - I'm hoping that it doesn't lose too much charge so I can still get home. I heard recently that checking the SOC via the App can increase (although marginally) drain on the car, as it checks internals for the data. But I'm skeptical about this point.

I hope you'll post the before and after figures. Would be fascinating to see what effect 8 days of not use has.ATSR wrote: ↑Sat Jan 20, 2024 5:10 pmI need to leave the car at an airport for 8 days - I'm hoping that it doesn't lose too much charge so I can still get home. Update. Left vehicle for 8 days at airport parking with no usage. Had 1% battery loss over that period with temperatures ranging between -3C and 13C. Other point to note is Renault app does not work when outside home country, so needed VPN to check remotely on vehicle location and battery state.

Thanks for the update @ATSR. 1% is nothing!
