Regen braking

Can you set regen braking strength that you prefer to be set as standard? Bit annoying having to toggle it on the paddles each time? My Tesla can do this and perhaps I expect more than the car can do!

Easy software fix it maybe but Renaults attitude seems to be they have your money and don't really care.
We aren't happy that the latest Renault imposed software update (done at the last service) has dramatically reduced the regen effect.
They aren't interested that they have effected the car so badly.

Why would you permanently want max regen, I used to have an MG5 and always drove that on max regen and it was fine but the Megane is totally different, have you tried decreasing the regen while accelerating for instance, it feels like someone is lifting off the brakes, also you can lift off the throttle 300 meters earlier and gradually introduce regen to brake the vehicle as required. Doing this for a couple of weeks has extended my expected range by around 30 miles so the regen gained is better when using the paddles as intended and not just slapping it on max regen. Just thought I'd share what I've found as differences between different EV's also gives the driver something to get involved in while driving.

I’ve noticed that the Megane doesn’t freewheel when you lift off the throttle, but instead puts a small amount of regen on.
If you can use the power meter on the display and feather the throttle to 0% the Megane will freewheel for miles without needing any power and this hugely increases your range and efficiency!
The previous regen effect was strong and I loved it. in traffic the throttle was all you needed.
Now with full regen if I lift off the throttle it will keep rolling forward towards the car in front. I now have to brake to stop.
Driving with low regen is like driving a std auto car. So lack of engine braking.

Did you have one-pedal driving until the update?
I've just got my Megane and it has not got one-pedal driving and never has...
