Hi.
I’ve been reading this post with interest.
I have a Nextbase 422 front dash cam and the small rear camera that I removed from my previous car.
It’s 4 or 5 years old now so thought I’d check out what’s available these days.
I fancy the look of the Garmin dash cam mini 2 as it’s small and doesn’t have a screen.
Would be quite unobtrusive behind the rear view mirror. I also liked being able to run a second camera for the rear without running a cable through to the front.
Has anyone had any experience with these, and if so, where would I pick up a permanent live feed for the park mode cable?
Thanks in advance.

I’m fitting both the dash cams this weekend.
Hopefully the front will be straight forward with the park mode hard wire kit.
I found a handy item on Amazon for the rear camera, it’s a 12v to 5v USB adapter kit to wire into the fuse box. I can then run the 4m long USB power cable from the camera, hide it behind the trim and plug it into the new USB socket hidden away next to the fuses.
I’ll let you know how it goes.

Thanks

The multimedia fuse is the permanent live, the cigarette lighter fuse is switched on with the ignition
