android auto - apps have stopped displaying on the car screen
My android phone is connected and paired to the car (via bluetooth) and this has usually been fine - the sat nav app and map automatically display (and spotify), occasionally a bit temperamental. It has now failed to do this for a number of days although the car (devices) says my phone is connected - and I can see my phone contacts list on the car display via the menus. This is a concern because we have a car model without the build-in sat-nav and are going to need this feature. I am not at all a tekky and if things work that is fine, but if they don't I'm a bit clueless! Any advice would be much appreciated.
just in case someone else get this issue. I posted on the Renault support whatsapp channel - and resolved the issue after this advice. I had to do the factory reset and re-pair my phone.
Thank you, I suggest you first try a 'soft rest' of the Open R-Link by pressing and holding the on/off button for 10 seconds.
Once the device reboots please then test Android Auto again and if the issue persists then you can try a factory reset of the Open R-Link:
Factory reset - select the car symbol > settings > system > reset options
This time once the device reboots you will need to pair the phone again and then test Android Auto.
Please let me know the outcome and if need be I can further investigate and advise.
