Renault Megane E-Tech Electric Forum

My wife has found the seats a bit hard for long journeys (once or twice a week we have to do a 4 Hr round trip)
So she bought an Halfords comfy seat cushion. Great because it raises the seat height and makes it comfy.
But we've noticed the Mégane switched the passenger airbag off.
It seems to think a child seat is in use.
There doesn't seem a way to over ride that function.

Sort of fix d this
Seat sensor measures capacitance (the amount of water in the lump sitting on it)
And from that judg s if it's an adult, child or car seat.
My wife's gel cushion lowers the capacitance because the person is further from the seat.
A sheat of baking foil under the bottom mesh of the gel seat tricks it into seeing an adult
So issue resolved.
