Change in audio quality

I've noticed that if I'm driving and listening to say a podcast if I select the audio adjustment icon the sound quality changes dramatically.
I suspect upon initial start up the audio settings aren't being applied so its in std mode. But once I select the audio settings it then clicks into whatever the previous settings where.

I have suspected another weird one for myself.

My car is starting with Android Auto with Spotify (or it doesnt matter any music player can be I have tested) if I change the source to Radio and come back to the Android Auto sound quality is more more more better. At first its like 2 speaker with old clio LOL

then I have suspected that I dont have a Sound Settings option in Android Auto section..... Weird....
