I have seen in a few massages that people have used their phones as a car hotspot or connected their car to the home wifi.
We live in a rural location which means next to no mobile signal. However WiFi works very well outdoors as I place a few APs around the outside.
My version is the equilibre, so it only has basic functionality and CarPlay.
Any advice gratefully received.
Andrew.
Connecting car to home WiFi
Hi, i think you can go into setting, then wifi and select your SSID, give your password and you're good to go.
However in my case i've noticed that connecting the car to any wifi that use WPA2 protection is ok, using it with the new WPA3 or mixed mode WPA2 and WPA3 on the top the wifi Icon have a red exclamation point and of course no internet connection, the openRlink report connected without internet.
If i use an AP that will exted my home wifi ( and that AP is WPA2 ) everything works as intended.
As you're problem due to uncoverage of mobile data, my situation is very similar as is that inside the garage my wifi works, but no mobile data!
