Hello all,

I thought I would introduce myself as I have just registered. I test drove a techno yesterday and loved it. Have signed myself up to a 4 year lease on a shadow grey with black roof iconic, which I should take delivery of in 4 weeks or so, really can't wait. The way the car delivers the power is lovely and the cabin is amazing, it was between this and a V2 e boost Cupra Born and the Renault beats the Cupra hands down.

I look forward to learning the quirks on this forum and hopefully getting some help if I get stuck.

Thanks,

Alex

Hello from Edinburgh! I've had mine almost a year (it was the first car out of the dealer on 1st September so I had to pose for a cheesy photo for their social media!) and I still really love it. Was down to this or the Cupra for me too on paper and driving both made it an easy choice. Nothing really wrong with the Born of course 😄

Having lived with it I'd say my biggest gripe is the app being a bit flaky, but it's really not that big a deal. The brake pedal still feels weird and grabby compared to the great driving experience of my wife's Mini Clubman, but you get used to it and with adjustable regen and careful driving you barely need it anyway.

Good luck with your new car!

It's a great car.
I've had many cars over the years, both cheaper and way more expensive. This is the first to nail nearly everything you would expect from it.
The way Renault throttles the response from the lights is a little disappointing. But when you realise they did this on purpose to save tyre wear and front wheel drive torque steer, it is easier to understand.
Mid speed pickup however is more than adequate!
Other EV's we looked at "bong" for almost every reason and drive you bonkers. The Megane doesn't do that.
It simply makes driving effortless. Renault really did judge things just right. Choosing Google was a brilliant decision. It's the first car that actually understands what you ask it.
Programming the satnav just requires a few words. No more prodding the screen with addresses!

The safety systems on the Iconic are amazing. On the first drive home. The driver behind me decided to cut the chevrons while i was joining the motorway from the slip road. He tried to cut me off by joining lane one first etc.
I didn't see him (until the last second), but the car did. The dashboard flashed red, the car then braked and steered to the left to avoid him hitting me. Good demonstration of what it can do!

My honeymoon period is over and i should be finding niggles and annoying faults. But no, it makes me smile every time i nick it off my wife!
